Dick Young was a local, well-admired, and well-loved entrepreneur in specialty prepared meats and ales that always lived life to the fullest.  Even though he left us too soon, his legacy lives in the soul of our community.  Among his many achievements, Dick created the NORTHWEST SAUSAGE AND DELI and DICK’S BREWERY; two exceptionally handcrafted businesses still providing quality sustenance to our community under the bright leadership of Julie McGregor, Dick’s daughter.

Proceeds from the 3rd Annual Dick Young Memorial BBQ benefit POPE’S KIDS PLACE, a non-profit organization in Centralia that provides dental, medical, respite, and preschool services for children. Pope’s serves kids from Lewis, Thurston, Grays Harbor, Pierce, Mason, Kitsap and Other Counties. No child is turned away for inability to pay for dental, medical, or respite services. Scholarships are available for preschool. English/Spanish Bilingual.
