Acting Essentials; Part One

This Acting Workshop (part of a series) is open to the public and will cover some acting basics in this first part. Come for some prizes and some great tips on making your script come to life for your director. Some topics that will be discussed: *stage directions with history *how to mark up your script *memorization techniques *crosses, counters, and turns *listening and reacting *what do you do when you (or a fellow actor) forgets their lines *how to take effective notes *communicating with the director We will conclude the evening with breaking out into small groups and blocking a short scene to be performed for the group! At the end of the workshop, you can pay what you think it deserved. We hope to see you there!
