The Washington Utilities and Transportation Commission (UTC) has selected five rural counties, including Lewis County, to study high speed internet and broadband availability. We need your input to help illustrate the situation in Lewis County.
You’re invited to a focus discussion and workshop concerning ways to enhance broadband communications in Lewis County.
The Focus discussion will be held at Kit Carson Restaurant on Wednesday, June 11 at 7:30 am to 9:00 am. Kit Carson is located at 107 SW Interstate Avenue, Chehalis.
The key issues that will be discussed include:
The current environment and ways to enhance broadband data communications and high-speed Internet access infrastructure and services for Lewis County
The need for and ways to enhance high-capacity networking (such as might be provided by fiber optic or wireless infrastructure in a town center or business corridor).
The format is designed to engage participants in a lively discussion to fully understand the needs, interests, concerns and thoughts of each and every one of the participants related to the above topics. The focused discussion/workshop is sponsored by the Washington Utilities and Transportation Commission (UTC) and Centralia-Chehalis Chamber of Commerce as part of a multi-County Broadband Survey effort.
If you cannot personally attend, please send a designee who can represent your organization. Please RSVP to TheChamber@ChamberWay.com or by calling 360-748-8885.
