TREE LIGHTING CEREMONY IN GEORGE WASHINGTON PARK
Friday, Nov. 23 - 5:00 PM
The Centralia Downtown Association is again sponsoring bringing the beautiful 30 foot Douglas Fir Tree for the Tree Lighting Celebration in George Washington Park in front of the Timberland Library, Friday, November 23!!!
The tree was selected by Centralia Downtown Association volunteers and it should arrive Thursday, November 15. This will be the 3rd year in a row that the CDA has coordinated the selection and arrival of the tree in our city. It will arrive by police escort on a military flatbed. The tree is donated by Joint Base Lewis-McChord and our local military personnel provide their services and equipment to transport the tree to the George Washington Park in downtown Centralia.
We are trying to raise funds to cover expenses for lighting and ornaments in time for the lighting Friday, November 23, 2012 at 5:00 PM. Please consider contributing to this event with your donation or sponsorship.
