Chehalis Regional Water Reclamation Facility Ribbon Cutting

The city of Chehalis is proud to announce the completion of its new wastewater treatment plant.  The new treatment plant, known as the "Chehalis Regional Water Reclamation Facility," replaces the city's original wastewater treatment plant that was constructed in 1948.  The new plant treats wastewater from the city of Chehalis, the city of Napavine and Lewis County Sewer District #4.  To comply with stringent river discharge requirements during dry-weather months, effluent from the plant will be used to irrigate a 250-acre poplar tree plantation.  Completion of the Chehalis Regional Water Reclamation Facility will allow for continued growth of the community and enable the city to comply with permit requirements for years to come.
