FREE CONCERT! Centralia College Choir

Come join us for a free concert of seasonal favorites in an elegant setting.  The Centralia College Choir is presenting a musical concert free of charge on Wednesday, December 4th at 7:00 pm at the Harrison Square Presbyterian Church.  Selections will be performed by full choir, soloists and ensembles.
 
The program will include traditional carols, such as, “Joy to the World”, “Lully, Lulla, Lullay”, “Here We Come A-Wassailing”, “Hark! The Herald Angels Sing”, “The Little Drummer Boy”, “Silent Night”, “I Saw Three Ships”, and “O Holy Night”.  Several traditional carols are combined in a round in “Carols Around”.  The carols in this arrangement are “The First Noel”, “Dona Nobis”, “It Came Upon the Midnight Clear”, and “Away in a Manger”.  Two modern works that will be included are “Wind on the Hill” whose text comes from a poem by A.A. Milne, and “Would I Miss the Miracle?” by Pamela Stewart and Douglas Nolan.
 
Women’s ensembles will perform the contemporary work “Silent Winter” by J. Paul Williams and Patti Drennan, “In the Bleak Midwinter” by Christina Rossetti and Gustav Holst, and “Christmas Lullaby” by Jason Robert Brown.  Men’s ensembles will sing “We Three Kings”, “Sing Noel!”, “Gesu Bambino”, and “Hodie Christus natus est”.
 
The choir will be accompanied by Carolin Auvil, piano and, on a few numbers, will also be accompanied by Laura Fairbanks, flute.
 
A free will offering will be collected and all donations will be given to the Lewis County Food Bank
