On Tuesday, June 2nd the Lewis County Community Band will present a family-friendly concert of instrumental music at Corbet Theatre. The concert will begin at 7:30 pm. If you like marching band music, classical music, or soundtrack music, you will enjoy hearing the Lewis County Community Band.
A few of the selections on the program will be:
“Variations on a Korean Folksong” by John Barnes Chance
“The Liberty Bell March” by John Philip Sousa
“Kirkpatrick Fanfare” by Andrew Boysen
“Blessed Are They” by Johannes Brahms, arranged by Barbara Buehlman
Louie Blaser and Karl Scarborough have been co-conducting the Lewis County Community Band since 2007. This growing ensemble has 22 woodwind players (flutes, clarinets, saxophones, and oboe), 20 brass players (trumpets, French horns, trombones, euphoniums, and tubas), 4 percussionists, piano and double bass. And we are always happy to add more players!
