Come bring your family for an enjoyable evening of instrumental music. The Lewis County Community Band will be presenting a free concert at Corbet Theatre on December 4th at 7:30 pm. There is no charge for admission.
The concert will feature a variety of music from the 18th century “Concerto Grosso in D Minor” by Vivaldi to the 1933 “His Honor March” by Henry Fillmore to the 1986 “Phantom of the Opera” medley by Andrew Lloyd Webber. The program will also include selections from the following:
“Themes Like Old Times”
“Northwest Suite” by John O’Reilly
“The Seal Lullabye by Eric Whitacre
“Dusk” by Steven Bryant
“The Crown of Castile” by Johnnie Vinson
“El Camino Real” and “A Festival Prelude” by Alfred Reed
“Christmas Pop Sing-A-Long” and “Holiday Homecoming”
Louie Blaser and Karl Scarborough have been co-conducting the Lewis County Community Band since 2007. This growing ensemble has 18 woodwind players (flutes, clarinets, saxophones, and oboe), 17 brass players (trumpets, French horns, trombones, euphoniums, and tubas), and 6 percussionists. And we are always happy to add more players!
