Join us for a celebration of American music with "America the Beautiful" written by Samuel A. Ward, "Stars and Stripes Forever" by John Philip Sousa, and "God Bless the U.S.A." written in 1984 by country musician, Lee Greenwood. We will also be performing a medley of Disney favorites: "Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah", "Candle on the Water", "Chim Chim Cher-ee", "A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes", and "It's a Small World". For classical music lovers we will perform "An Outdoor Overture" by Aaron Copland.
The orchestra is pleased to welcome guest artists, The Voetberg Family Band, a family string ensemble. They will be joining the orchestra to play "Cripple Creek". The Voetbergs appear regularly at local events and are always well received. They have won numerous awards at regional, state, and national competitions.
This performance is free and open to the public.
This event is sponsored by Bob and Doris O'Neill, Robert and Vondean Thompson, Security State Bank, Title Guaranty Company of Lewis County, and Pro Musica.
The Pacific Northwest Chamber Orchestra has over 40 musicians and is conducted by David Judd. The orchestra has been performing since 2003.
