Grand Opening

Cascade Court, the HUD 811 project in Centralia, is in the final stages of construction and getting ready for occupancy. Cascade Court is a 12 unit apartment complex located at 1605 Johnson Rd. in Centralia. The project began in 2003 with a grant written by staff at Cascade Mental Health Care, the sponsoring agency, and Common Ground, a not-for-profit organization specializing in securing funding and managing development of such projects.

Cascade Court is designed to accommodate 12 individuals who meet the HUD required standards of being considered low-income and having a mental health diagnosis. The apartments are all single bedroom units with a common living room and kitchen. The goal is to have a resident manager who will be an individual who is in a stage of recovery ready for employment. This individual will work with the area manager from United Marketing; the company that will manage Cascade Court; ensuring that the building and grounds are maintained and that units are rented.
