Quilters: A Centralia College Musical

Quilters, a musical by Molly Newman and Barbara Damashek, is ostensibly the story of a pioneer woman and her six daughters. But that is just looking at the surface; there’s a lot more going on. This musical blends a series of interrelated scenes into a rich mosaic, which captures the sweep and beauty, the terror and joy, the harsh challenges and abiding rewards of frontier life. Illuminating stories are contained in various patches or quilt “blocks.”
