Soirée de Danse, an intimate evening of belly dance performance

The community is invited to an evening of dynamic bellydance performances by leading dance artists from Portland to Seattle, showcasing a variety of belly dance styles including Tribal Belly Dance, Egyptian Raqs Sharqi and American Cabaret. With swirling skirts, ornate costumes, shimmying hips and exuberant drum beats, you can’t help but clap your hands and move your feet. Plan to attend this fun and upbeat performance, perfect for all ages! Dancing the evening’s program are Gypsy Heart Tribal, Gypsy Caravan Dance Co. Int., with Caravan Project Oregon, and Karen Howard, all of Portland OR, and Mirabai Abel of Seattle, along with Embody’s own Caravan Project SW Washington, directed by Wanda Walker, also the studio’s resident tribal belly dance instructor. This fabulous evening will wind down with a reception for audience members to mingle and visit with performing artists, while nibbling on special treats created by Joy’s Once Upon a Thyme.
