Back on Track! In December 2007, the Chehalis to Curtis line was devastated by the flood that affected much of Lewis County. Thanks to the Port of Chehalis, FEMA, and the State of Washington, over $1.8 million has been spent to restore this tourist attraction. Join the Chehalis-Centralia Railroad and Museum as we kick off the 2009 season. Special activities are planned all weekend long with food, extra rides, and fireworks. All rides are "bubbly" (complimentary sparkling cider) trains this weekend only. A ceremonial "driving of the golden spike" will take place on each run. Fireworks begin at 9:30 p.m. on Sunday and are sponsored by the Lucky Eagle Casino. You are also invited to celebrate Memorial Day activities at the nearby Veterans Memorial Museum. This unforgettable museum is located at 100 SW Veterans Way, Chehalis, Washington. Visit www.veteransmuseum.org for additional information.
