This 200-mile bicycle ride is the largest multi-day bicycle event in the Northwest, with up to 9,500 participants riding from Seattle to Portland in one or two days. The route takes riders through scenic valleys, forests, and farmlands of western Washington and Oregon. About 2,200 riders complete the trip in one-day, but the rest stay anywhere’s from Centralia to Longview overnight before continuing on to Portland the next day. The Chamber works with Centralia College to offer an exceptional mid-point for riders to get energized with great food options, be entertained, and relax for the night. Some people camp at the college, others stay at local hotels, which fill up almost a year in advance! To provide other housing options the Chamber works to secure private homes that are willing to host riders. Call the Chamber for the rewarding details of being a host family.
