The Chehalis Garlic Fest and Craft Show

August 27, 28 and 29 2010 will bring the aroma of garlic wafting through Washington with 14th annual Chehalis Garlic Fest and Craft Festival. Garlic cuisine, original art and crafts, music and wine tasting are just some of the highlights of these three days of sensory delight.

Incredibly creative food vendors feature fabulous Garlic Cuisine ? guests explore delicious dishes from garlic chicken crepes, garlic roast beef served on garlic bread, hand-crafted garlic sausage, garlic quinoa and tofu stir-fry, Philly cheese steak sandwiches, garlic-butter dipped corn on the cob, deep fried garlic, garlic Alfredo pasta, Garlic shrimp, garlic-rosemary funnel cakes, and yes, even garlic kettle corn, garlic doughnuts, garlic cheesecake and even GARLIC ICE CREAM!

Our Cloves and Vines Wine Tasting features award-winning local wineries, and guests can cool off and cool their heels in the Bulbs and Brew Beer Garden. There are 70 strains of organic garlic to purchase for your take-home garlicky pleasure. The handcrafted wares offered by talented artisans at the Chehalis Garlic Fest juried craft show offer a shopper?s paradise. Garden art, country accents, ceramics, art glass, spectacular jewelry, hand-dipped candles, sewn creations, fantastic leather goods, wooden ware and more are always a popular draw. There are also many food-related items ? marinades, sauces, dips, fudge, dressings, pickles, spices, rubs, pickled garlic, garlic salsa, salt-free seasonings, gourmet baking mixes and much more.

Guests will also enjoy the toe-tappin' live music and entertainment on the outdoor stage all weekend long. This year will also showcase the second stage with Chef Demonstrations and garlic tips and tricks. There's plenty of room for fest-goers to enjoy their repast in the grassy areas and under the shade trees.

General admission is $5, seniors and military with ID are $4, children 7 and under are free, and there is lots of free parking. A portion of the proceeds benefits local non-profits. Last year over $7,000 was donated back to benefit the community.
