The Evergreen Playhouse presents A Streetcar Named Desire

The Evergreen Playhouse is proud to present A Streetcar Named Desire opening April 10th. This American classic focuses on the question, what happens when life begins to lose its excitement? Who or what do we turn to when we need to find adventure in our lives?? The main character, Blanche Dubois, fills this need to be striving to hold onto her youth, while other characters look towards gambling, romance, family, food, relationships, and alcohol to try to satiate their desires. This will be a production that challenges audiences and forces them to come face to face with some of the realities that surround us every day. The themes are universal and the motifs are brutally honest. The play will run April 10-12, 17-19, and 24-26th. Show times are 8:00 pm Fridays and Saturdays and 2:00 pm on Sundays. There were also be a Thursday pay-what-you-can night on April 16th at 7:30. Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for students. All proceeds from the play will go to help support The Evergreen Playhouse.
